The last time I visited was in 2018, the museum has developed greatly and changed significantly for the better! A fantastic experience!

Louvre Abu Dhabi – A dream come true Visiting the Louvre Abu Dhabi was truly unforgettable, and the Pablo Picasso exhibition made it deeply personal for me. I want to sincerely thank the museum for giving us the rare chance to experience Picasso’s works up close. I’m honestly crazy about him—and seeing his artworks in person felt like a dream come true. The exhibition runs until 31 May 2026, and it’s an exceptional, not-to-be-missed opportunity to witness such powerful and iconic paintings gathered in one place. Moments like this don’t come around often. Beyond the exhibition, the museum itself is simply wow. From the breathtaking architecture and the play of light beneath the dome to the thoughtfully curated collections, you travel through pieces of history from all over the world. It’s a beautiful journey across ancient civilizations and cultures that really puts humanity into perspective. There’s also a lovely café with a serene seating area—perfect for a quiet pause after exploring the galleries. I wished I could capture and share every single artwork here, but that would have been impossible; each piece deserves its own moment. Without a doubt, the Louvre Abu Dhabi is a must-visit—whether you’re in Abu Dhabi already or planning a trip. Put it at the very top of your list.

Louvre Abu Dhabi – Architecture first, collection second Louvre Abu Dhabi is a very majestic place in terms of architecture and design. The building itself is the main attraction. The famous dome is absolutely stunning, and walking underneath it is the highlight of the visit. The artworks inside are interesting, but nothing felt truly exceptional or unforgettable. That said, everything is very well presented. The museum is beautiful, perfectly air-conditioned, and clearly designed to make the visit comfortable and accessible to the public. The visitor areas are great for photos, especially around the dome and the exterior walkways. There are several restaurants and cafés inside the museum, and more options just outside once you exit. Getting a taxi is easy, so logistics are simple. Overall, it’s worth visiting mainly for the architecture and the experience rather than the collection itself.

Beautiful and inspiring place 🤍 Louvre Abu Dhabi is an incredible museum with stunning architecture and a calm, elegant atmosphere. The building itself is a masterpiece, especially the iconic dome and the way light filters through it. The museum has an impressive collection of art and artifacts from different cultures and time periods, making the experience both educational and enjoyable. Everything is well organized, and the displays are thoughtfully curated. It’s a great place to spend a few hours, whether you’re an art lover or just exploring Abu Dhabi. Definitely a must-visit cultural landmark. Recommend buying tickets before visiting to avoid the queue.

Louvre Abu Dhabi is one of those places where architecture alone already feels like an exhibition. Calm, elegant, and quietly powerful—it’s not just a museum you walk through, but an experience you slow down for. The galleries are beautifully curated, connecting human history across cultures and time rather than separating art by country. You’ll move from ancient civilizations to modern masterpieces in a way that feels thoughtful and surprisingly emotional. The atmosphere is peaceful, never overwhelming, making it perfect for both art lovers and casual visitors. What really steals the show is the iconic dome. Sunlight filters through it like a soft “rain of light,” constantly changing as the day goes on—standing underneath it feels almost meditative. Little facts you’ll love: • The dome is made of 8 layers of geometric patterns, creating that signature light effect. • The museum sits on the water, inspired by traditional Arabic medinas surrounded by the sea. • It’s the first universal museum in the Arab world, telling global stories instead of regional ones. • The dome weighs roughly the same as the Eiffel Tower—but floats visually like a cloud. Peaceful, inspiring, and beautifully designed. Louvre Abu Dhabi isn’t loud or flashy—it’s confident, poetic, and unforgettable.

Arguably one of the best museums in Abu Dhabi. It has many collections from across the globe: you can find an Osiris statue from Ancient Egypt, an Ottoman Sipahi armour, and a painting by Claude Monet. If you love art and history, this place is a must visit. During our visit, the exhibitions were sequenced historically from the ancient times to the modern times. We spent about 2 hours in the museum.

If the Louvre Paris is “the museum of timeless classics,” then the Louvre Abu Dhabi is “a museum that looks like it fell out of a sci-fi movie, but tells the story of humanity with total seriousness.” • It’s a real Louvre—Abu Dhabi signed a 30-year concession agreement with the French government. • All the artworks are authentic originals, which is why there’s no Mona Lisa here (she’s still in Paris). • Paris has the iconic glass pyramid. Abu Dhabi has a massive dome—the kind that makes your neck hurt from looking up. Absolutely epic. • The dome is designed with multi-layered Arabic geometry, letting sunlight filter through in patterns called “Rain of Light.” • Exhibitions are not arranged by country, and the diversity is next level. Roman works sit next to Middle Eastern art; Buddhist pieces appear alongside Christian and Islamic works. • The core idea is basically: “We’re all human—our beliefs may differ, but our humanity is shared.” • You leave feeling a bit smarter, even if you can’t remember every artist’s name. Still, you’ll find yourself thinking, “Yeah… this is culture.” • There are original works by Leonardo da Vinci, Monet, and Van Gogh. Maybe not their most famous pieces, but still undeniably theirs. • There’s also a portrait of Kosa Pan (โกษาปาน)—beautiful, dignified, and displayed with great respect. • Long walk means LONG walk. This isn’t a “peek and leave” museum. This is the kind of place where you walk until you forget time exists. • For photography lovers, this place is pure heaven: shadows, light, reflections on water—everything. It honestly feels designed with Instagram tourism in mind. • The café? Great desserts, great coffee. • Inside the Louvre, there’s a special activity called Quantum Dome Project: A Collective VR Experience. You put on a VR headset and travel through multiple eras and civilizations via a newly imagined narrative. It takes about 20 minutes and costs 95 AED extra per person— but it’s insanely good, both visually and sonically. Totally worth it. (And yes, you can’t take photos because… it’s VR.)

Visited this Museum in a group tour. As everything in Dubai and Abu Dhabu, this building is a display of great taste and modern architecture. It uses the name Louvre but it does not intent to rival the original one. The exhibitions are mainly sculptures, but the way the displays are arranged it is very pleasant to the eye. We arrived at evening time and only had a little more than 2 hrs to see it, so my girlfriend and me aped our pace and were able to admire everything there, even at a fast pace

Louvre Abu Dhabi is an extraordinary museum that beautifully blends art, culture, and history from all around the world. The collection is vast and thoughtfully curated, with countless remarkable pieces that truly leave an impression. Every gallery feels like a journey, offering deep insight and knowledge that enriches your understanding of different civilizations and artistic eras. The overall atmosphere is serene and inspiring, and the architecture alone is breathtaking. The outdoor area is especially charming, with stunning views and shaded spaces that make the experience even more enjoyable. Just outside the museum, you’ll find several cafés and restaurants, perfect for relaxing and reflecting after your visit. Reaching the museum is very convenient — it’s easily accessible, with plenty of parking spaces available. The security staff are present throughout the area and are always ready to guide and assist visitors. Louvre Abu Dhabi is truly a must-visit destination for anyone who appreciates art, heritage, and unforgettable cultural experiences.

Impressive architecture at Saadiyat Island and being an icon there. Exhibits display has been very different than Louvre Paris, but it has been too long ago I went Louvre in Paris. The exhibits here is more of sculptures or some historic artifacts about currency used thousands of years ago. It wasn’t divided by region but a comparison of same or similar artifacts in different countries, seems more of Asia comparison. I didn’t pay attention or did any research of the theme about Louvre AD, which was going with clients. Still a must see there, interesting though.

What an incredible experience. I was in awe of every room. Seeing artefacts from as long as 8000 years ago was incredible. A must visit in Abu Dhabi.

The Louvre Abu Dhabi was sensational! I did the express tour for an overview and then the virtual reality add-on. I walked around the outside and had dinner at the rooftop restaurant. The Louvre in Abu Dhabi is more than a museum, it is is a destination!
